Do you engage in moments of radical compassion towards your body and soul? Do you give yourself the space of grace? Do you engage with people in your lives differently in 2018 than you did 1 year, 5 years, 10 years ago? Do you find yourself stepping out, taking risks, being vulnerable?

Are you stuck in the overwhelm? Are you tired of the buzzy, crazy chatter? Are you sitting deep in the knowledge that you are a person of calling & purpose but you just don’t know what the hell for? Are you stuck in the sticky soupy belief that you are not enough?

That is my own personal backlash.
I feel it especially when the good girl inside of me says, “SHHHH, if you speak up they will hear you.” I feel it especially when women tell other women they are wrong for speaking their truth. I feel it especially when I am told that I am too much, too loud, too bold, too big. I feel it especially when I hit a road block and there is a voice inside of me that says, “See, I told you that you would do it wrong.”
Let’s eff this dialogue up today!
Let’s read the books by women we normally wouldn’t so that we can understand their stories and then share those books with others. Let’s wrap ourselves in the snuggle of our own arms and say, “Hey there, I got you, even if I don’t particularly like you all the time, I am still here for you.” Let’s write the truth of what we know for sure from the deepest depths of our big ass souls and then just let those words sit there. Let’s find courage in our imperfections and talk about the things that matter greatly to us with someone we haven’t spoken to in ages.
We can’t take down the patriarchy unless it all comes down. I am not afraid to use my voice, it doesn’t stop me. The revolution is connection. Give yourself the space of grace.
