A revolution begins with one person doing one thing.
We think of a revolution as a monumental event — the tea party, civil rights, women’s rights. Events of such great magnitude they forever change how people live their lives. But, that is just the end result. The crash of a wave where it all comes to a head. Where shit gets real on a large scale.
That’s not where it starts though. It starts with that one person doing that one thing and then that one thing becomes two, and soon four and quickly eight. Each person doing that one thing adds to the momentum of the movement.
A water molecule on its own is small. Really small. According to Jonathon Myers — some guy on the internet, its like this:
“Take a centimeter, break it into ten million parts, and each one of those parts is a nanometer. A water molecule is about a quarter of that.”
And yet water remains one of the most destructive transformative life giving resources known to man. All because the water molecules come together.
A water molecule doesn’t sit around on the beach all alone and sad, wishing to change the world and lamenting how that can never be because Ms. Molecule can’t even get herself unburied from the sand.
No. A water molecule goes and finds its people. And those people find their people. before we know it a tsunami has wiped out an entire coastline, forever changing the landscape and the lives dependent on it.
One person does not change the world. But when one person finds her people, shit gets real.
Never before has it been so easy to find your people. You literally have the world at your fingertips.

It is easy to give ourselves a pass by believing we don’t have the right things to offer — or worse we don’t have anything to offer. Every person brings something to the table. Every single one.
The very act of showing up offers the movement the energy and vitality it needs — just like the water molecule, you can hold onto feeling insignificant and overwhelmed by the enormity of it all. OR you can show up and erode the patriarchy like the water carves the Grand Canyon.
If you are ready to show up, no matter what your revolution is, I am currently booking $97 consult calls. Send me an email and let’s get you on the schedule!
It’s Monday, cause some mayhem, raise some hell! xoxo, Dr. Melissa Bird
