I have recently been giving a lot of thought to our communal heartbeat.
At a time when regard for human life has become so pronounced and so politicized, I have been giving much thought to how we can move forward with profound intentions.
Remaining thankful in my heart has become a daily practice for me over the last 20 months. Each day I have made it a practice to look in the mirror and speak honestly to myself. I thank myself for getting us this far, and I encourage myself to ask what I realize when I admit the entirety of my truth.
This action of self love and self compassion has helped me as I navigate this world of collective grieving. And believe me, we are collectively grieving. Our hearts are connected not just to each other but with the heart of Mother Earth. Her grief is palpable. We can see it in our fires, our floods, our droughts, and our pandemic.
This grief is an invitation to return to what we know intuitively. Life does not sustain without love and a return to self compassion.
When we give ourselves a chance to feel love at a higher level, we connect with our intuition and expand our capacity to expand into our divine assignment.
Inside each one of us is a heart that beats approximately 104,000 times a day. Feel your feet on the ground, close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Feel the love of the universe flow from the top of your head out through the bottoms of your feet and into the earth.
You are connected.
You are love and you are loved.
