Are you making the same mistake as me?

I am going to be really honest with you. I have spent the last 7 years learning a really tough lesson in scarcity.

7 years ago I moved in with my husband Jim.

7 years ago I became an instant stay at home mom to 3 children ages 20 months, 4, and 10.

7 years ago who I thought I was did a roller coaster loop-de-loop and it was terrifying.

Will there be enough money to pay the rent?

Will there be enough money to feed the children?

Will I be able to get another job?

Will I be a good mom and partner?

All of these questions plagued me and created a fear based mindset that drove me into such a deep depression I started to create a fake world on Pinterest in order to survive.

I was so afraid that I would screw everything up that I nearly lost everything I had ever wanted in life.

Fast forward to 2019 and ya, I am living a pretty stellar life.

Turns out I am a remarkably brilliant mom, a fantastic partner, and yes the rent always gets paid.

But that scarcity mindset creeps in, especially around my business.

Will my clients like me?

Will I be a good coach?

Will I be a dynamic enough public speaker?

Will people get something out of my workshop and walk away inspired?

Guess what? Those questions aren’t helpful.

In fact, earlier this summer that insecurity lost me some pretty stellar opportunities and clients and I realized it was time to kick that fear to the curb and do something about that fear based bullshit once and for all.

I started writing things I am grateful for every single day.

I started writing out my dreams and wishes and prayed them to God.

I started connecting with people who are into doing pretty great things in their communities.

I started trusting my clients to show me the way.

I started kissing my husband and children more.

Scarcity mindset is something we all face, no matter where we are at in life. So when the fear starts to creep in just stop, breathe, and remember how far you have come.

I am a totally different woman than I was 7 years ago and every single day I am still learning and growing but I am no longer willing to stay in that scarcity mindset because my life is so full of gifts that there isn’t really anything that I am lacking. And that y’all is AWESOME!

Rock on!
